Jon Genius defines James Baldwin’s NIGGER. On a recent trip to Europe photographer and director Jon Genius takes a look back at James Baldwin defining what being a Black person in America means and what a NIGGER is. James Baldwin a prominent American writer, poet and playwright created works that dealt with social issues on race and identity. He lived most of his later life in France where he died in 1987.

We hosted the Peapod Academies premiere of the triptych short film Love, Life and Hate. The films were created by a group of really creative and outstanding teenagers from Watts. They wanted to present something that was a real representation of what they think about, deal with and face daily as teenagers in 2011. Its beautifully honest and art from the next generation of thinkers.
