by @godisnow “We are getting a little ahead of ourselves with this post, but since the prototype is on exhibit at CSULB here you go:
The GODISNOW Bio-Tee (2014)
The Bio-Tee explores portraiture with the use of technology. A rubber stamp was made for a custom QR code (Quick Response code) and used this to make a mosaic-like pattern on the shirt. The stamped code allows users to scan a section of the shirt with a smart phone and be linked to a webpage with biographic information about the person wearing the garment. It explores the clothed body as site to project our own narrative into the world.
In this series of garments, a person will be able to order a unisex shirt that would be imprinted with a QR-code pattern that is specifically made for them. The code, when scanned, will link the user to a page on the GODisNow.com site that contains the biography of its owner. Coming Summer 2014.” #art #fashion #kenturah #design #sculpture #tech #qrcode #drawing
