I have been talking about this piece since I saw it in Miami. 1. It is HUGE…takes up an entire wall, top to bottom. left to right. I did later see another painting he did in the same large scale of someone on a horse, I can not remember where I saw this, I’ll update once it comes to mind.
2. Its Michael Jackson on a horse with shrunken legs, honestly MJ’s head looked really large when you see this piece in person. A friend and I were going back and forth about the foreshortening liberties taken in this piece. I thought it too look odd but not in a bad way. I just charged it to the art technique 101 game. However the friend could not let the issue ride that Michael’s legs are still way disproportional to his head.
3. What can you say its Kehinde Wiley, contemporary art’s favorite Negro.
4. It’s Michael Jackson
5. Its really HUGE (if you follow my art blogs/vlogs you already know how much i heart large paintings.)
